3 days trekking gheralta mountains
Day 1
Drive from mekelle about 100km towards the massive Gheralta mountains to drop you in the beginning of the trekking site after breakfast in the bottom of the mountain continue trekking 1:30 to reach the old church on the sky called youhans maqudi after visit this church continue trekking about 3 -4 hours to reach the colourful decorated church which is dated back to 7thc, AD called abune Abraham and continue down to the base camp about 2 hour. Accommodation at: camping in the village under the big tree.
Day 2
After breakfast by our professional cook continue trekking admiring the wonderful view, wildlife and traditional Tigray house to reach Mariam papsite. After visiting that church continue trekking to the base camp about 4 hours. Accommodation at: camping in village called korkor.
Day 3
After early breakfast start trekking to the highest point of the Gheralta which is 2700 above sea level to see view towards the 4 corners of the remarkable Gheralta mountains & after lunch in the top the mountain continue trekking to visit the church of mariam korkor & Danile korkor, after visiting those churches we will continue one hour walking to Hawzan. Finally drive back to Mekelle.

4 days trekking ghuralta moutains
Day 1

After early breakfast start trekking to the highest point of the Gheralta which is 2700 above sea level to see view to wards the 4 corners of the remarkable Gheralta mountains & after lunch in the top the mountain continue trekking to visit the church of mariam korkor & Danile korkor. Accommodation at: “guh” Village
Day 4
After breakfast continue trekking to visit one of the famous and best church of Gherlta area called abune yemata. Accommodation at: your choose Hotel in Hawzan or you can drive to Mekele or Axum.
4 Days Tigray community based trekking
Day 1
We start our journey either from Mekelle or Axum to reach to Adigrat where we start our trekking. The two options have similar distances as it is 120KM away from Adigrat with an estimated driving of 2 hrs.
Adigrat-AGORO LODGE TO ANAF (3HRS,3000M)
Accommodation: Anaf Guesthouse

Day Notes: Flat walking at the beginning from Agoro and then begin ascent for about 600 meters before arriving at the flats with a trail to Anaf Guesthouse. About 3000 m. and 3 hrs trek.
Day 2
ANAF TO ERAR (6-7)HRS,2800M)
Accommodation: Erar Guesthouse

Day Notes: Trek across the big Valley of Gohagot on the way experiencing the daily activities of farmers. Overnight at Erar Community Guest House. Here you have chance to see geladas.
Day 3
TREK ERAR-SHIMBREYTI (4-5HRS,2800M)
Accommodation: Erar Guesthouse

Day Notes: After breakfast walk the escarpment for awhile before gently descending to the beautiful Valley of Degamba Village. Ascend again visiting Mariam Buzuhan rock hewn church and a very old manmade rock tunnel on the way. Overnight at Shimbreyti Community Guest house. While here, make sure to search for the resident Gelada baboons.
Day 4
TREK SHIMBREYTI-MUZITEY (2HRS). DRIVE TO GHERALTA (1HR)

Transport: Transfer by minivan
Day Notes: After breakfast, trek for two to three hrs, first descending from the mountain to the flats of the valley where the trail takes you through rural villages before meeting your pickup vehicle. Drive for about an hour to Gheralta. After lunch discuss with your local guide an afternoon excursion to visit Maryam Korkor or Abuna Yemata rock-hewn church.

3 days trekkng simien moutains
Day 1,
Gondar to Sankobar
Drive from Gondar to Debark. Here we obtain a permit from the Park headquarters and collect our obligatory scout before continuing to Sankabar (3250m ASL) for the first overnight camp. An early start is needed as the drive from Gondar takes a 2-3 hours. The trek begins at Buytras (Simien Lodge), taking about 3 – 4 hours to walk to the Sankabar campsite is usually possible. During the walk there’s a good chance of seeing your first Gelada baboons.
Day 2,
Sankabar to Geech
In the morning of day 2, we will walk to Geech via the spectacular Jinbar waterfall. The trek will take approximately 5 – 7 hours. After descending down to the Jinbar Wenz (which feeds the waterfall) a short ascent remains to Geech village. A short distance beyond Geech village is the camp site. The camp site has great views of the mountains and is characterized by giant lobelia plants. The nearby Kedadit summit provides one of the best places to see the sun set. The camp site is situated at 3600m ASL.
Day 3,
Geech to Ambaras to Gondar
We trek from Geech to the Imet Gogo promontory, for one of the most spectacular views in the whole mountain range. This is a great day for seeing the magnificent Lammergeier vultures. From Imet Gogo we trek back to the road near a village called Ambaras and meet the car for the drive back to Gondar. The trek will last approximately 4-5 hours.
4 days trekking simien moutains
Depart early in the morning from Gondar (7am at the latest), driving to Sankober. We will stop along the way to handle park fees, etc. If you like, we can drop you in or around Buyit Ras for a 3-4 hour hike to Sankober, which passes close to the escarpment edge. Nearing Sankober, you will have beautiful views on both sides of the escarpment ridge and where you will likely see the endemic Gelada baboons. In Sankober, you will be met with your supplies. Overnight camping in Sankober.
